The Ohio Heat 12U National team is the 2012 USSSA Hatfield/McCoy Tournament champion. The Heat defeated the Steel City Select 13-0, the Mason Venom 7-3, and the Columbus Sharks 14-1 in pool play to earn the #2 seed in bracket play. The Heat met the Cincy Redstockings in the semi-final game and came away with a solid 4-0 win, while the Flames had their hands full with a solid Mason Venom team and escaped with a 10-8 victory. The Heat had a strong outing against the Cincy Flames in the Championship Game, and coasted to a commanding 5-1 win to capture the title.
